Friends

Yoshi had a very wide circle of friends here in the UK and around the world. He also met a lot of people in public whilst photographing events and places that he sustained contact with. There was a lot of partying and art event ligging but little drinking “I am a holy man!”

Those of us who have been active since hearing of his death are not an exclusive group and welcome all friends to help support the active process of sorting the stack as we prepare to exhibit the expansive collections of sculptures, photographs and customised camera equipment.

Yoshi’s treasures are stacked at Toproom of Limehouse Town Hall ready for exhibition, re-homing and redistribution. Initial storage arrangements with Boxing Club during the rescue phase have been extended (many thanks) and there are weekly archive sessions to review the many analog and digital photographs, slides and colour transparencies, discover more detail and appreciate his playfulness.

We recently welcomed linguists Natsuki and Connor to the team, who help translate the many documents and journals, thanks to them and all those who have worked so hard to get us to this point!
