Yoshi mentions a mid 90’s period in his blog when due to post court room costs he didn’t own cameras. Instead during this time he resorted to drawing of his favorite subjects and in doing so laid the ground work for later wire sculptures depicting aerialists and performers. These A4 pen renderings of pencil sketches were all together in boxes of his documents alongside some of the court papers relating the case which stripped him of beloved cameras. Perhaps those were at a pawn brokers or he replaced them later as we have a huge camera collection in the stack.

Another set of drawings depict more manga porn style of imaginary female forms that it’s difficult to reconcile alongside these crafted studies. We are not going to publish those here but they do form part of this collection so will be available for viewing on request.
It’s our intention to make available all the sorted and as yet unsorted photographs and documents which we continue to investigate each week at Limehouse Town Hall. Please get in touch if you would like to contribute to this work and help prepare for exhibition. email yoshi@spc.org or call James on 07973318881
