These images are of Sci-Fi artworks by British artist Chris Foss , some of which made it into 20th Century Foss book of illustrations 1978. Colour transparency film would have been the preferred method of representation for print services so Yoshi may have been commissioned by the publisher or indeed by Chris himself to take these shots.
Foss also contributed to the illustrations in the world celebrated The Joy of Sex guide to lovemaking 1972 perhaps that’s somewhere in Yoshi’s library?
