We have now sorted through one box and a single tray from the Yoshi stack of photographic negatives, colour transparency and prints. Much of the remainder, some 6 boxes or so is less separated into project envelopes, more slide boxes and trays of negatives than prints.
Today was slow after a couple of weeks away and it’s a humid afternoon at Limehouse Town Hall. The package contains a set of mono contact sheets with a selection of A5 mono prints. In adjacent packages were a a lot of mono negative 35mm film strips in slightly opaque paper and protective polythene A4 binders so am hoping to be able to match some of these up at some point.
In the second half of these selections you will see closeups of lens mechanisms. We know Yoshi was involved with development of auto-focus at Minolta and Canon that aggrieved him to talk about in much detail as the communication broke down and his contributions were never acknowledged by these manufacturers.
