0064 Ideal Home

Yoshi attended the first Ideal Home exhibition at Earls Court in 1979 where he recorded around the Japanese stand, possibly as commissioned photographer. In the pack are medium format colour negatives and a few strips of colour contact prints, 35mm mono negatives and this set of black and white A4 prints.

Here amongst the selection of images princess Anne can be seen wandering the isles. Here is a short TV clip from the same visit, perhaps she went every day? We were all intrigued by the promise of modernity which the Idea Home featured and it’s success continued until it’s closure in 2014 followed by demolition in 2017.
